And with a blink of an eye my daughter turns 3. But what does a three-year-old want? That list is a lot, lot longer.
In honor of my daughter's 3rd birthday, here are some great gift ideas for your 3-year-old girl. This 3-year-old birthday girl is spunky one, and she created her own birthday wish list this year for her 3rd birthday.
This list is a combination of her birthday wish list as well as her most-loved possessions right now. The next time you need a gift for a little girl who is not quite a preschooler but bigger than a toddler, check out this list.
The guide goes from least favorite to most favorite.
12. Schylling Little Helper Broom Set
My aunt bought this for my kids a couple of years ago, and it is still a favorite in the house for all of us. It is a real broom set so the kids can help clean up. My kids fight over who gets a turn cleaning, and I enjoy the help after messy dinners.
11. Vtech Kidizoom Camera Connect, Pink
I vividly remember my first disposable camera as a kid. This camera is so much better. It's a real camera that take beautiful digital photos but is safe for small hands. It comes in pink and blue and has lots of fun features.
10. Sofia the First Amulet Bubblegum Necklace
I think I will praise Savannah Glam's bubblegum necklaces to the end of time. They are durable and can withstand toddler craziness. There are always super cool designs. This specific necklace has been on my daughter's wish list, but since she doesn't wear a lot of purple I haven't bought it for her. We do have a few other Savannah Glam bubblegum necklaces that are in weekly rotation.
9. Disney Tsum Tsum Figures, 9 pack
(Toys R Us)
These have been a surprise hit. What do you even do with these things? Well if you're a 3-year-old girl you stack them, make them have tea parties, collect them, line them up, and do it all over again. I wish I had found these sooner because they entertain my kids so well. My daughter has been asking for an Elsa Tsum Tsum as well as an Olaf fun. The Frozen fever is going strong in this house. These 9 piece Tsum Tsum sets come with one hidden Tsum Tsum, so you never know who the last figure will be. Kids love surprises!
8. Popstar Pink Submariners Swim Goggles
Alessandra will not leave for the pool without her swim goggles. Although this pair is pricy, they can last several years. I think these are the best because rather than individual eye coverings these goggles are more like a mask and feel more comfortable.
7. adidas Finale 15 Capitano Soccer Ball
(Dick's Sporting Goods)
My daughter has started her first sport - soccer! She loves her pink soccer ball and carries it around proudly. A size 3 soccer ball is the perfect size for a 3-year-old.
6. Keen Little Kid's Harper Sandal
I love giving clothes, shoes and accessories as birthday gifts because kids keep growing and always need these items. We are obsessed with Keen shoes in general, but I love these sandals the most. They are made with water resistant leather and are super comfy, yet also look cute with my daughter's dresses.
5. Anna & Elsa 20 inch Plush Dolls
A 3-year-old girl can never have enough dolls, right? My daughter has asked for Anna and Elsa dolls for a long time, and this year her grandfather filled that wish. I can't wait to see her eyes when she opens this present.
4. School Smart Electric Heavy-Duty Pencil Sharpener
(Amazon) & Frozen Pencils (Amazon)
This is what we bought for Ali this year. Apparently they have a pencil sharpener at school but the kids aren't allowed to use it. I casually mentioned once that she could ask for one for her birthday if she wanted, and she has been fixated on that idea ever since.
3. Herschel Supply Co. Heritage Backpack in Pop Pink
My kids are obsessed with backpacks. This is the perfect size to bring along to a family event or dinner. It fits a few snacks, books and a few small toys, and it's super cute too.
2. Target Mermaid Bikini Set With Skirt
With summers luckily spent by the beach and pool, we can never have enough swimsuits. The day my daughter got this bikini she declared she was going to wear it to school. While I didn't let her wear it to school, she continues to ask about it daily. This one is super cute on and comes in sizes for babies through 6 year olds. I love that it comes with a little skirt too.
Note: If you're between sizes size up. The skirt runs a little big but the top runs a lot small.
1. Little Cosmetics Pretend Makeup Essential Set
My 3-year-old girl uses this pretend makeup kit almost daily, whether it's during play time, while I'm putting on my own makeup, or during long car rides. It looks exactly like real makeup and even includes applicators. The fake blush and eyeshadow are just pieces of sponge but look very realistic.
